8 Avona Street Glebe

The property is a 3 level, 16 unit complex. The property had considerable areas of render delaminating and cracking to building facades and planter-box masonry walls, concrete spalling, blown brickwork, lack of waterproofing to balcony decks, rusted steel balcony balustrades.

The upgrade works included:

The removal of all delaminating render to the building and surrounding planter boxes, removal and repair of spalled concrete and demolition of all balcony balustrades. The repair of spalled concrete and damaged masonry followed by the application of new render coatings. Demolition of all existing balcony tiles and topping screed. A new topping screed to correct falls was supplied and installed. Mainland Building Solutions then applied a full waterproof membrane system and new tiling was laid. Supply and Installation of new glass balustrades to balconies and common area walkways. Painting of all external rendered areas. Upgrade of common area foyers, 2 stairways and unit entries including painting. Upgrade of common internal facilities including painting. Upgrade, line-marking and numbering of parking areas.
