The property is a 3 level, 8 unit complex. It was in its oringinal state with minimal repair undertaken. The property was suffering from brick erosion and damaged brick work, considerable concrete spalling, steel framed windows of which most leaked and did not operate, window lintels rusted beyond repair and paintwork that was in a poor condition and peeling.

Mainland Building Solutions addressed all elements required to refurbish and upgrade the property, which included:

Installation of a fully decked steel scaffold system, sections of the brickwork were replaced and 1500 stainless steel helifix wall tiles were installed, all concrete repairs were undertaken using the sika monotop repair system. Window replacement was carried out using architectural window systems as the supplier and the windows were powder coated aluminium finish and all associated head and sill flashings were installed. The windows also complied to all wind and water ratings to meet BCA requirements for that zoning. Finally, application of a Polymer modified cement render system was supplied by Quickwall Australia to all external brickwork, which was subsequently coated with a 3 coat Dulux elastomeric membrane system.
